The Raidho rune is associated with movement, rhythm, journeying, and the process of following your life’s path. This dynamic sequence reflects the flow of energy that moves in cycles and helps guide your steps on your personal journey. The fluid and balanced movement of Raidho activates a sense of direction and forward momentum, both physically and energetically.
Starting Position
- Stand in a neutral position, with your feet slightly apart, and knees slightly bent. Your arms should rest naturally at your sides.
- Take a few deep breaths to center yourself and visualize grounding your energy into the earth, preparing for the dynamic flow of movement.
Step 1: Form the Shape of Raidho
- Inhale deeply and as you do so, raise your right arm in front of you, bending it at the elbow so that your fingertips stretch upwards and your palm is above your head.
- Simultaneously, raise your right leg up, keeping it straight at the knee, in front of your body. This will form the symbolic shape of the Raidho rune.
- Hold the balance for a brief moment, focusing on the energy moving through your body.
Step 2: Turn to the Right
- As you exhale, turn your body to the right, coordinating the movement of your raised right hand and foot. Let your hand rotate gently as your right foot swings outward.
- As you exhale, turn your body slightly to the right, coordinating the movement of your raised right hand and foot. Let your hand rotate gently as your right foot swings outward.
- Step onto your right foot as it comes down, planting it firmly into the ground. Simultaneously, let your right hand fall gently down beside your waist, as if you are completing a phase of the cycle and releasing the energy from that side.
- This part of the movement grounds the energy you’ve raised.
Step 3: Draw the Left Foot In
- Once your right foot is grounded, draw your left foot inward, bringing it back to meet the right foot in a smooth motion. You are now back in the starting position.
- As you bring the left foot to meet the right, gather energy into your center. Feel a sense of stability and readiness.
Step 4: Repeat to the Left
- Inhale again, and this time, raise your left hand and left leg simultaneously to mirror the movement on the opposite side.
- Your left hand reaches above your head while your left leg lifts in front of you, again creating the Raidho shape on the left.
- As you exhale, turn to the left, stepping down on the left foot and letting the left hand fall naturally beside your waist. Draw the right foot inward, returning to the starting position.
- Continue this back-and-forth flow, alternating sides and repeating the movement for as long as desired.
This sequence can be repeated continuously, allowing you to feel more attuned to the rhythm of Raidho. With practice, the movement becomes smoother, your balance improves, and you can better harness the power of direction and momentum represented by the rune.
