This dynamic exercise, based on qi-gong principles, mimics the shape of the Ansuz rune, enhancing your ability to tap into higher knowledge and clarity. Performed with a focus on breath and smooth energy flow, this sequence will help you embody the rune’s powers and strengthen your connection to intuition and divine inspiration.
Starting Position
- Stand in a neutral position, with your feet slightly apart, knees slightly bent, and your arms relaxed by your sides.
- Breathe deeply, centering yourself, and visualize grounding your energy into the earth. Take a moment to focus on your breath, becoming calm and present.
Step 1: Form the Shape of Ansuz
- Inhale deeply and slowly raise your hands in front of your body to about belly level. The right hand should be slightly higher than the left, palms facing each other as if you are holding a ball of energy between them.
- Visualize the Ansuz rune forming with your body, where your feet and torso create the main vertical axis of the rune, and your hands represent the diagonals that extend outward from it.
- Feel the energy gathering between your palms, as if you are holding a ball of communication and inspiration.
Step 2: Move Hands to the Right
- As you continue to inhale, begin to move your hands to the right side of your body, keeping the imaginary ball of energy between them.
- Allow your torso to gently turn with the movement, following the energy flow. As you reach the right side, switch your hands so that the left hand, which was lower, is now higher, and the right hand is lower.
- Switch your hands’ positions by gracefully circling them around the imaginary energy ball: the right hand lowers, and the left hand rises so that the left is now higher than the right.
- Circle your hands around the energy ball with this switch, keeping the movement smooth and fluid.
- Visualize the flow of energy spiraling between your palms, as if it is opening channels of wisdom and communication through your body.
Step 3: Return to Center
- As you begin to exhale, gently move your hands back to the center in front of your belly.
- Return to the original shape of the rune with the right hand slightly higher than the left, palms still facing each other and holding the energy ball.
Step 4: Move Hands to the Left
- Inhale again and begin to move your hands to the left side of your body.
- As your hands reach the left side, switch their positions again, so that the left hand is now lower and the right hand higher, circling the energy ball in a smooth motion.
- Let your body flow naturally with the movement, turning gently to the left. As the hands switch, feel the energy flow follow the circular motion, spiraling outward and upward, opening channels of inspiration and wisdom.
- Visualize communication channels opening as the movement extends outward.
Step 5: Return to Center and Close
- As you exhale again, bring your hands back to center, maintaining the position of the energy ball in front of your belly.
- Let your breath out fully, relaxing your body as you return to the starting position.
- Hold the final position for a moment, palms facing each other, visualizing the energy of Ansuz vibrating between your hands and throughout your body.
Step 6: Repeat the Cycle
- Once you’ve returned to the starting position, repeat the sequence as many times as desired, alternating between the right and left sides. As you practice, the movements will become more fluid, and the energy flow will become stronger.
By repeating the sequence, you can deepen your connection with the energy of Ansuz. Over time, you will find that the movements enhance your ability to communicate clearly, access wisdom, and channel inspiration into your life.
